Mt Coot-tha Quarry are looking for someone to join their crew who is ready to kick start their career in the Quarry industry. This role is great for someone who has machine tickets, willingness to learn, happy to work overtime and open to working at multiple locations, then this job could be for you!

You will be working within the Brisbane City Council, Asphalt and Aggregates branch. As part of the team, you will be operating machinery, general labouring and maintenance around the Quarry when needed.

About your new role

The variety of this role will expand across the following labouring tasks.

  • Ability to work in a respectful /dedicated team environment to achieve production and safety objectives.
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Flexible to multi-skill/ further expand their qualifications to suit our needs and opportunities
  • Must have experience operating machinery in a Quarry or Mining environment
  • The ability to complete other general labouring tasks and machine operating around the Quarry when required.

What you will need to exceed

A strong sense of teamwork a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Experience in a Quarry is desirable
  • Current C Class drivers licence required
  • Machine Tickets - Excavator, Front end loader, - minimum 1 machine ticket required. Multiple tickets highly desirable
  • Work safety in the Construction Industry (White Card)
  • Able to work 5 days a week + overtime
